Medical assistance required..

Hi
The following is an email that was circulated by one of my colleagues (I work for TCS) today and the boy affected is the brother of an employee in my firm. I am collecting donations from friends and colleagues and will be routing it to the family thru my NGO, Dream India (www.dreamindia2020.org)

We are already in the process of verifying the details of the claim, but considering it came directly from a TCSer, I would not doubt it much. But again, rest assured, the money will be sent ONLY after 100% verification.

In case you are interested, please email me about your donation.

Thanks
Varun R

Hi All,
My younger brother (Final Year Engineering Student) is suffering from Rhinocerebral Mucormycosis [life threatening fungal infection] caused due to acute diabetic condition. He has been admitted at Poona Hospital & Research Center, Pune for treatment since last 20 days. please find attached certificate from Doctor.
To avoid the spread of infection towards brain, he had been operated to remove his infected right eye. He is on antifungal drug Liposomal Amphotericin B which is costly. In view of his extensive disease he will need treatment for approximately 3 months. This includes 300 mg of Amphotericin B daily (cost of 50mg is Rs. 6500). This also includes multiple debridement surgeries for removal of dead tissues. The total cost of his treatment may go in the range of Rs. 25 Lacs – 30 Lacs.

Financial condition is not so good. It would be a great help if you could contribute little amount towards his medical treatment on humanity grounds. Please let me know if you are aware of any NGO or any other organization that provides help to such needy patients.
